Twitter Analytics

From print to radio, television and the web, every broadcast platform has been measured. Now the individual is a broadcaster and Klout measures their ability to influence their audience. In doing this, Klout makes available a wide variety of Twitter analytics used in generating the Klout score.

By analyzing the data accessable via the Twitter API for millions of users, Klout is able to provide valuable statistical insight into how you use Twitter. These analytics can be used to improve the quality of your own tweets, to decide whether or not to follow someone or to understand the best way to engage with someone on Twitter.

For each Twitter profile Klout has a "Stats" tab where you can see a wide variety of Twitter Analytics. Klout provides both raw data and an analysis of how a user's profile compares to all the other Twitter profiles Klout tracks.

If you would like to measure users against each other you can use Klout's "Compare" feature. Comparing up to four users you can see whose tweets are most effective across multiple metrics. This is a great way to understand the different ways people build a following.

On the "Content" tab you can see a breakdown of a person's tweets over the last 30 days. This can be extremely valuable when deciding whether or not to follow someone.

Also on the "Content" tab you can see how far a person's tweets have spread via retweets. The top retweets analytics measures the audience size of everyone who retweeted a message. This provides insight into the specific tweets that spread the furthest for a user.
